The new 2013 California Energy Code, Title 24, Part 6, went effective July 1st, and calls for a significant set of new energy efficiency measures.  New aggressive energy saving measures will affect all new construction as the California codes move toward the 2020 and 2030 net zero requirements for all new residential and non-residential buildings.  This program provides an in-depth and detailed program on the new energy efficiency measures for Non-Residential buildings, including information on the new lighting, automatic controls, and HVAC requirements.

Presenters:  Bryan Glass, EE, Steven Jones, ME, Jonathan Schlundt ME, all Teter A&E.

Savings By Design is a statewide program which encourages high-performance, non-residential building design and construction, and a variety of solutions to building owners and design teams. Savings By Design participants can save money by reducing operating costs, increase comfort, health, and productivity for building occupants, and conserve natural resources.  PG&E’s Savings By Design program offers cash incentives and technical assistance to help maximize energy performance in commercial new construction projects, Design assistance services and resources matched to the project needs.
